LOUISE NEMSCHOFF practices entertainment and copyright law in Los Angeles.  She represents a wide variety of parties in both domestic and international transactions in film, television, publishing, animation, digital media, including mobile content and transmedia.  She is admitted to practice as an attorney in the State of California (active) and is enrolled as a solicitor in England and Wales (currently non-practicing).

A graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School, Ms. Nemschoff has been in practice for over 35 years, representing a wide range of individual and institutional clients in finance, distribution, production, international co-productions, agency and licensing for the entertainment industry.  She has published a number of articles and spoken extensively, both in the United States and Europe, on various aspects of entertainment law, including presentations at the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival, Rio Film Festival, AFM, MIP-TV, MIPCOM, MIDEM and the Electronic Media Conference of the Frankfurt Book Fair. 

In addition to representing clients, Ms. Nemschoff mediates entertainment industry and intellectual property disputes and serves on the arbitration panel of the Independent Film and Television Alliance ("IFTA") International Arbitration Tribunal.  She also sits on the IFTA Legal Committee as well as its Arbitration Advisory Committee, which oversees the organization's arbitration program.  On that Legal Committee, she has been actively involved in the drafting of the last three versions of the IFTA Model International Licensing Agreement and companion guidance (2005, 2010 and 2012). 

She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Southwestern Law School online L.L.M. program in entertainment law, specifically teaching a course in video game law. 

An active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Section, she served as its 1993-1994 Chair and completed a two-year term on the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.  Ms. Nemschoff has been active in a number of other professional organizations as well, including a number of years serving on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers.
